ok after the last trackday this happened

pads became more hot on one side.

carbon lorraine rc-6. i actually glazed them over...

video evidence here...

renewed the discs and pads, removed the old dust seals as they are next to useless. quite crispy.

after a trip to cadwell (spectating) the NEW discs and rc-6 pads are now feeling very strong.

so... i have turned to a few other jobs ive been meaning to do for a long time.

padding on cage.

more so this has been pissing me off for a while. omp subframe. too high

repeat the other side and you have this

add a extra bar here

using an arc welder... yes ARC! this has to be the worlds most tidy weld

weld the other side up like so

prep for paint

painted and looking like new

no longer will i bang my head on the cage.

i will be lower and not looking like a giant (twat).

i will have a lower centre of gravity too. bonus

i also attacked the sidemounts

make them a tiny bit lighter.

and a cheeky shot of the engine that i love so much.

lots more to do to the car this week too......

billet 4, sticking with what i have. believe with the right brake balance i will be fine. those old discs may only have done 10 or so trackdays but not only have those been at full pelt but they had suffered from a siezed caliper at an early date...

so not done that bad.
