So i am doing a full season of TIME ATTACK this year...
www.timeattack.co.uk
i will be in the fwd club class, with other forced induction cars such as, astra vxr, mini, escort rst and many others...
after years of dreaming about it i bit the bullet registered. I had planned to do 3 meetings however a conversation with Franklin Motorsport of splilsby lincolnshire and we have their support... hence now decided to hit the 6 event season.
There are also a few others that have been kind enough to donate a few things too
i have been working on the car with simon on past few weekends and every evening after work.
we have made a few changes all to be revealed for the first event at silverstone 6th apr...

Absolutely amazing news Stu!!!
I had wondered what or where the next progression for you and the car would take you and to follow a dream is the best thing ever! I wish you and anyone that helps you all the very best of luck.

that is some very good news !!!
one word of advise dont go all out and try to beat everyone !!
That way you will most surely rip a massive hole in your pocket,
just remember that there will always be someone who has spent thousands on their car or even compete with 2 sets of new tyres on each event and
most of all remember to ENJOY it!

it is the best feeling in the world bar none, when you go out there in your home grown car that you cant afford to throw tyres and engines at it and go and beat them, it will happen, track/test days are 1 thing but when the pressures on, your pulse goes up and you start getting all excited... just remember dont let the red mist descend and youll go faster your always go faster chasing someone... unless your escaping from the tax man

Thanks guys.
My polycarbonate windows arrived today... any special tips that may assist me upon fitting?
My doors will also be receiving a rather large skim

front use stikaflex and push them up, it is really a 2 person job as 4mm polycarb is stiff to slide up into the top trim.
rears, the fitting kit is nuts and bolts with a foam seal... again stikaflex and nut and bolt, dont do them up too tight as your likely to crack the polycarb
hope that helps

with the openers, they flap about like a witches tit. it would be advisable to solid mount them rather than run them on the standard mounting points, youll need to space them from the body work as otherwise they will sit inside the body work outer and look poo
