Angry oil preasure light on/off

when the car is on tick over the light comēs on along with the temp light. Then if I rev the engine it goes out. I think the valve seals are gone from over heating it, but it dont burn alot of oil? allso is there away of getting the roller/rockers out without loosening the head as I have just done the head gasket but didnt do the valve seals???

I had this issue, as the car warmed up the oil pressure light came on, then if I revved it the light would go off at a certain engine speed, which increased with temperature. Mine was the oil pressure switch, cost £15 at a garage. Do that first.

This, I'd change the switch first and go from there.

If it's still doing it, then it's oil viscosity/oil pump/worn engine.

The head bolts need to be loosened to remove the rockers properly. You could remove the rocker assembly by sliding out the pin but it's not easy to get it back in and there's a chance you could bend it.

As long as you don't disturb the head when you do it, then it should be okay without needing a new gasket etc.

If it's not burning oil, the stem seals won't need doing - that would't affect your oil pressure anyway as it's splash oil up in there.

Jacking up the engine won't change this, you only need to remove the rockers to change the stem seals. You don't need to remove the camshaft.

Oil pressure switch before you touch anything else. Pulling big bits apart without checking the switch first could be a cause of disaster and expenses. If the switch doesn't fix it, continue from there!
