cheers lads for all the support. peg is in her bed next to me at the moment (im in bed watching tv lol) i look at her whilst she sleeps and i cant believe what she has been through and that now she is here. its been such a tough time waiting here simply waiting for the clock to tick away till i could get to see her. its hard to explain what i feel for peg.

i expected to get laughed at for wanting to (in my eyes) save her but most people have been behind me on this.

with peg being a stray in the past she has some very funny habbits, if you give her a treat, bone or even a toy... if shes not ready to eat or play with it then off she trotts to find a hiding place either in the garden or the house. i have found half eaten dog treat/bones hidden in the washing basket and she loves digging in the plumb slate in my garden to hide stuff.

Haha this story actually made me cry!Really pleased for you mate, been to Zante a few times,stunning island. It made me sick the way they treat the dogs over there as i love my border collie!

Even the gypsies over there treat there kids like dogs, my mrs want to bring one of the gypsie kids home with us lol

My dog does that too lol, Ive found wee rawhide bones in the pillow case and in shoes and stuff haha

2 greek gypsie camps have been found hearding over 250 dogs this week, i dare not to think why...

Nah the first one. The new ones a wee dick, she tries to eat that fast she makes herself spew. She was 12kg when she went into the home and shes 15.8 now, so reckon she wasnt getting fed enough.

couldnt agree more, did you see the programme about pedigree dogs on bbc the other week, it was saying how pedigree breeds bred to look a certain way have loads of health problems and those who were breeding didnt give a fuck

my dog is a staffy x king charles, he is the most loving dog you could get, so soppy etc

Aww glad you have her, she looks pretty content, I hope everything goes well with her, bet the only thing she might miss is the nicer weather they have over there, she will need to get used to a lot of rain!!

Bet she will love the snow!

peg and i have made an incredible bond.

even though she was a street dog, we can now walk her off lead around the woods, or on walks away from traffic. she comes back when you call her (most of the time).

eats and shits like a champ
