Default Oil leak around gear box

Seem to have an oil leek somewhere there's oil around the top of the gear box and underneath. I don't think it's gearbox oil and I find my self topping the engine oil up every other week. Any ideas where it could be from if it's leeking onto the gear box? Thanks

Rocker cover seal if it's an 8v,mine recently spewed out oil and the dipstick was the culprit.

sorry forgot to mention its not even a saxo, its a vectra c. but i assumed it would be similar on any car. hopefully it is a rocker cover seal since i need to replace the rocker cover anyway

You'll know if it's box oil, smell it. Well that is unless it's not one of those Vauxhall boxes that people fill with atf (sometimes incorrectly) but it'll still smell different to engine oil

Stick some on your fingers and give it a sniff, if it smells like cat piss it's either gearbox oil or cat piss.

Probably find the rocker cover gasket is split mate, easy job to do just get a new gasket from euro car parts then remove rocker cover by undoing bolts and put new gasket on.
