hi everyone

im looking to buy a laptop but i have know idea what to get as there's soo many im looking at spending £400 or less i have a few in mind but i picked them out of the argos lol

any ideas?

Try the IT section mate, but IMO you can't go wrong with Dells especially with that budget!

What do you need a Laptop for?

No sarcastic but you need to know that before looking for certain specs etc.

This will likely be moved to the IT section bud.
But WHATEVER YOU DO Read every review you can when you do decide on a laptop to buy.
If it has no reviews, its worth waiting for some to surface. Dont be the "first in line cannon fodder"

depends what you are going to use it for, i have a netbook, its good for me but if your going to be doing loads on it then it wont have enough memory in it,

i need one because my computer is very rubbish and slow and my comps in the kitchen because theres not much room so if i get a laptop it can go in the attic and it'd be good to have the laptop in my room or where ever, and i am looking for something that will not be slow has to have a cd drive and i wouldnt mind if it had a decent size screen also i would prefer windows 7

You want a Media Laptop, that will help your search bud

The thing with Laptops they can never do everything for a decent price.
You find a laptop that is good at Gaming, Office Work & Media
You'll be paying through the roof

My advice is, unless you want it to be portable, you could get a beast of a Desktop PC for less than half the price of the Laptop equivalent

Dunno. Not so clued up on how much spec (on a laptop) you can get for £400.

But that's 4gb ram, 320gb hard drive, dual core, graphics card isn't good (slightly better than intel integrated), but you won't get anything decent (graphically) for that price.

Go on Argos Clearance bargains on eBay I got a toshiba i3 320gb, 4gb ddr3 ram for £380.. It's really good value
