hahaha, pretty much everyone turns around and stares at you, respect for patience though! Is it mostly the splitter or does any of the underside catch on normal roads too? Like when a well used road has dips where your tyres go, will you catch/scrape on the higher middle section, thats what my polo does when im on the banded steels, literally sounds like the cat is going to rip off!

On speed humps and pot holes the wishbones hit the floor. You hear it a couple of times in the video. I'm now on my 3rd exhaust as I keep landing on them lol

If there's proper grooves where other cars have been it just scrapes permenantly.

Took the Golf to a fabricator yesterday. Looking at having abit of the chassis cut out, reinforced and custom subframe mounts built. Eventually I'd like it to be as low as it is now without the splitter.

I used to try and avoid everything but there's no point. Pot holes I'll avoid but tiny dips in the road are just unavoidable. End of the day, it's only plastic and metal. Both can be replaced.

Does it sound like that from the outside, as in people walking past? If so that kinda spoils the image somewhat lol.

fucking hell, how the eff do you get through MOTs with that nevermind the constant embarrassment and the total lack of comfort

Now, payday is in two week time so camber shims will be ordered. I already have -1.5 degrees of camber and I'm adding another -3 degrees. Hopefully this will mean I can get my spacers on!

good luck getting 500 miles out of the tyres after that. Of course the garages won't touch it with a barge pole, it's their responsibility if they damage it on the ramp. And it clearly won't get on a ramp. Good luck if you ever need some road recovery

What embarrassment? Everyone that turns round has a smile on there face or a little chuckle. I'm not complaining about garages not touching it, I don't blame them. If it needs recovering then I'll just raise the coilovers.

A little bit of scraped plastic and abit of scraping to the wishbones? Again, it's all replaceable. No permenant harm.

Video was taken with the windows open so that is what you hear from outside.

Yeah last time I saw a decked car (actually looking very close to that beetle in the picture) I did have a chuckle and a smile too.
I would hate to have to scan the road constantly at 7 mph for every single inch-high drop or raise in the tarmac, nevermind dealing with cracks, potholes and speed bumps. Back to first gear every 15 yards doesn't sound like driving to me, more like nursing something that you will inevitably damage again and again. Lol at getting only 2000 miles out of tyres at that sort of speed to start with.
