Default Knocking

Got an Ibiza Cupra mk4.

Car is knocking on the front right when turning the steering wheel.

Thought it might of been the spring.

Lifted the car and can see the coilover spring is fine.

What could the knocking be?

I'm guessing CV boot, top mount bearing or ball joint.

Thanks

At low speeds or stationary? Will probably be the top mount. Or the spring seat itself is loose

Knocks both stationary and moving at slow speeds. When on the lift today though there was no knocking when turning the steering wheel to full lock.

Only seems to happen when on the ground.

yea the springs will be loaded when the wheels are on the floor. my 206 did the same.

if you have a spare hour or two, spring compressors and a few quid to spare, buy replacement bearings and strip the strut down. should be fairly obvious what it is when you have it apart
