Default Darn dash rattle.... HELP?!?

Had the VTS for nearly a year now and use it daily, never had a rattle. Also not done anything to it either work wise.

Anyway yesterday i found this loud rattle when i go above 60mph. No matter what i do below 60, bumps erratic driving, nothing replicates the noise. Then drive on smooth road over 60 and bang its there...
Its right around the steering column area.

I wondered if it was the speedo unit so removed that just and drove it around with no speedo/rev box fitted but still its there. Sounds like a screw has dropped somewhere but hobestly at wits end.
Any ideas?

Not to sound like an arse but it isn't something like a wheel weight has come off and the unbalanced wheel sends a rattle up there?

Blower motor, leaves in it or something perhaps. Speed related as wind speed goes up and it's in that sort of area.

Unless, as pointed out already, you're getting a slight vibration from something on the drive line.

Why is it that when the colder weather comes, it also brings rattles. I guess everything must shrink down a bit in the cold and loosen up. Try pushing/pressing on parts when the rattle is happening and see if it stops or eases it
