How long after painting wheels can i change the tires
Right ive had the wheels on my bike painted 2 weeks ago. I thought the lad would take the tires off but he didnt... I need a new set and i was just wondering if the paint would be alright? If not how long should i wait

normally it's dry within 24 hours ish, so I reckon you're good to go?

The paint will take bloody ages to fully harden - he'll need to be very careful when removing the old tyres on the machine tbh.
I wouldn't want to change tyres on a set of painted rims for a few weeks for sure personally - perhaps a bit less if the car lives outside in the sun etc.

should have got them powdercoated.. changing tyres on freshly painted bike wheels generally wont end well

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Might aswell give it a few more weeks then. I only got em painted instead of powdercoated cos i had the paint already and someone painted the wheels, tank and hugger for £100 lol

Mine were put on the same day. (Powdercoated) if it makes any diff. Fine.
