Default ECU unlocking/decoding

easy people!
I have a vts with a kepad immobiliser, when i bought the vehicle the immobiliser had been disabled, so basically i dont need to enter a code to start the car, the problem i have now is i dont know what this 4 digit code is to be able to do a diagnostics test. the ecu will not allow the diagnostics machine to enter the engine management menu, it says there is a communication error.

Now any have any tips for me to get around this problem and have access to the engine management without getting another ecu?
Or could anybody giv me some company names and contact details where i can get my ecu reprogrammed?

this tells you how to unlock an ecu mate.

http://www.convery.me.uk/ecu-unlock/ecu-unlock.html

could give bluehawk (eletrics or electronics), they unlock ecu's bout £100 i think.

i have spoken to citroen and they dont know what the codes are and there is no way they can find out, they also say the standard codes are 1111 or 0001. i have tried them as i got pissed off and thought id attempt them, now the red light and green lights are solid when i turn the key i enter the codes and nothing happens, now can somebody tell me what is supposed to happen? Im guessing the red light should turn off and the green light should stay solid until the engine is started?

lol, a big problem. I have managed to get the car started but it turns off after about 2 minutes. Now i have replaced the gearbox crank sensor and im guessing my problem of the car cutting out and the engine management light has something 2 do with that, now i think i have the sensnr sat in the right place otherwise the car shouldnt start. The gearbox i have on the car is a 1.3 rallye box, would that have anything 2 do with the crank sensnr, as in the new sensor i have put on is for a vts box. Do i need to get the senor for a 1.3 106 rallye gearbox?

have you got access to the old keypad+keycode? If you can try find somebody with a keypad vts and unlock it that way, or send just the ecu to me and i can unlock it for you.

You can buy a replacement ecu and fit it yourself. The remapping if very poorly done could cwuse the issue
