After along time on saxperience i thought it was time i started a progress thread. Always loved the saxos and always wanted a blue furio ! anyway i started off with a 50cc moped




Had some great fun on it as soon as i turned 17 i wanted to drive and pass asap so my dad bought me a v cheap run about to get started in it was a vauxhall nova 1 litre but not a hatchback a saloon ! ...It had done some fair mileage but as it was to help me learning while doing my driving lessons with my instructor.

Anyways after 3 months of driving lessons i took my test and passed my driving test first time with 8 minors. I really didnt want the nova anymore as i had passed and the steering wheel was so big it felt like i was driving a space ship ! So i then started to look for a blue saxo furio there hard to find one thats for sale. Looked everywhere checked eBay everynight and then finally one came up a blue saxo furio in southend. I went to look at it before bidding and had a small test drive i loved it !

Managed to buy it and heres some pics from the eBay advert.

The car also came with piperx filter, 106 mirrors, peco backbox and grooved discs







Once i got it home it was pretty dirty so gave it a clean inside out !

All clean and tidy



I then went out for a small photoshoot !



















I then started wanting to change the car especially the rear lights

so i bought some smoked jewels and fitted them



also smoked the front headlights



I also sprayed the chevrons black along with adding pressed style plates and new style wipers



I also tinted the rear windows only a light smoke and added the sax-p stickers in the rear window, added citeron sport badges and smoked side repeaters.

Next on the cards was alloys as i didnt like the ones i had i wanted some vtr ones but first of all went for a photoshoot !

Next up i bought some VTR alloys

i got them for a good price 5 for 50quid they had seen better days but i was up for the challagene to refurb them !

It took me a long time to refurb these but well woth it unfortuneatly my phone broke so lost the pics of the refurb but they were in a state and i had to fill alot of chips in even on the outer rim !

The finished project was worth it

anyways old wheels sold on eBay for 41 pounds good bye !

After getting white alloys onto my car i new it was the way forward....

Then calipers needed to be painted for sure !









hmmm somethings missing o wait thats better !













I also got the hamerite out and painted some of the rusty areas especially where the old alloys had rubbed as they had spacers on which tidyed it up alot !

The wipers were looking rusty so decided to tidy them up !

As the fogs were already taken out by me a while back i decided to crack on and start smoking them !

Finshed the job but just havent been put back in yet !

Looks gorgeous. A lot better now than when you bought it! I'd just get it lowered 40mm and then leave it tbh.

Looks really nice, the vtr wheels look much better than the old wheels, you did a good job of refurbing them too if they were in a bad day like you said
