Default 3cott's black mk2 vts thread: Few more parts on order + A little update *PG14*

Im gunner start a new thread as my silly wife has deleted quite a few pictures off my photobucket

An the last one was a bit messy lol...

Right after nothing but bad look with my last saxo

With it needing loads of welding, shitty paint work, head gasket leaking oil, shagged back axel, rotten front & rear arches...

So i decided to get rid an start from fresh... I did some hard saveing for a few months, i managed to save 2k up when vtstom's old motor poped up for sale at 2k so i went down to spalding on the 6/2/2009 to have a look at the car, an i must say onec i seen it i fell in love it...

So after i had a good look around it i had a little chat with my mate about buying it... So after a 10 min conversaction i decided to put a £200 deposit on it...

Then i went to collect the car on the 13/2/09

Its done 92k fsh
Shed loads of receipts
Its got powerflex wish bone & axel bushes all round
Powerflex lower engine mount
Brand new toyo proxies TR1's

The car when i first bought it

Then i had it lowerd! 55mm front 70mm rear with puma sport spring & GMAX dampers

Not the best of suspension around but its all i could afford at the time

The beast is now lowerd

She then got left like that for a few months till i got the wheels powder coated

Thanks for looking thoughts an comments are very welcom

Will update late

Is hard to say, Personally I think OEM discs with maybe some good quality pads such as Carbone Lorain RC5+ (can eat wheels but will stop you VERY well) and a good bleed with good fluid should be fine !

The pads will cost a lot more than the Mintex discs, but bad pads can easily make a setup feel worse than standard so I'd make sure you get GOOD pads

I'd stick with tried and tested pads, RC5+'s, Mintex 1144's, Fed DS2500's (the above pads might be these but not 100% sure sorry )

I can imagine the Brembo's will be expensive?

I bought my 26mm setup with greenstuff pads which were turd - switched them to standard mintex pads and seemed soo much better!!

I'd look to spec a pad according to the driving you'll be doing. Standard pads will be able to cope with everyday use and the odd bit of abuse fine (with god fluid)
