Hi guys, well ive had the vtr a few months now so i think its time to make my own progress thread

52 plate vtr, icelandic, standard when bought apart from induction, exhaust and lowered (what height?)

Here it is when i bought it;

i did some changes the day i got it home, took the vtr mud flaps of and gave it a good wash! no pictures though

de-wipered the rear, and have since taken the aerial and taken the rear window sprayer out

soon after, me and my mate installed my old subs and head unit and some alpine co axils.. all will be changed though don't worry

Just last week i stripped the inside out to put in some sound deadening and 'stu-n-shell' took out my roof lining and pillars (also door cards) so i can get them all re-trimmed in black suede. This is to go with my gti leathers i have waiting to go in;

Nobody warned me sound deadening cuts your fingers up so bad!!

So i have a few bits in progress

Also i have 306 cyclones being painted as we speak by 'D--R--E--W' with brand new toyo proxies t1r's ready to go on.

only down side really is a few days ago my drivers side arch came of

I have a new one waiting to go on though

and a cheeky pic i like from the side of a lorry;

Plans for the future is;
1- amped comps up front
2- new sub set up in rear (done)
3- get the wheels on (done)
4- get the seats in and roof lining ect (done)
5- lower slightly more
6- satin black the bump strips
7- paint inside of headlights and fogs black
8- smoked jewels?
9- dark smoke tint for rear half windows
10- new induction and full SS system
11- any suggestions??

it pays to do some research in this site

i thought my system was good with £30 co axils and a £100 200wrms sub set up :s

i now know the error of my ways lol

And i also got my new arch yesterday so fitted that;

just need an indicator for that side

Looks like a really good ride height.. maybe 40mm?

if its 40mm i might aim for 60? i cant really afford coilovers so i think i'll have to guess on new shocks and springs?

Yeh i think 60 leaves the top of the tyre in line with the arches.
Kinda wanna go lower on the front with mine...
New shocks are definitely a good idea too..

does anybody have the link to the thread where each height is shown?

the one where the amount lowered and the size of wheel is shown to get a rough idea?

i will try to, just i work every weekend and i heard most meets are on sunday? i'll take my weekends of when the meets are on though

they are usualy a sat or sunday but there is sometimes ones durin the week.

btw for your sunvisors and the other cream bits this is the paint i was on about.

give them a good rub with some red scotchpads then a plastic prime and some of that and they will look braw.

i'll try to get to one during the week then

(i work 7days but its easier to get cover during the week)

and nice one mate, i'll have to get that done soon. Although i think i like the cream parts :s

i don't suppose anybody knows where i can get a side indicator from? all of the ones on ebay seem to just be the cover...

but as you can see on the pic above a few posts i need to bit that clips onto the wire also?
