Default Engine swap 1.1 to 1.4

Hi all I have been wanting to do a engine swap on my car from a 1.1 to a 1.4 is it a straight swap and could I run a 1.4 mk2 engine with all my 1.1 manifolds, alternator, ecu, clutch and gearbox is there anything I would need to change or would it all need to be changed to 1.4 stuff

p.s. this is not a thread where I want people to post stuff like why swap to a 1.4 and I know what I have to do about insurance and the do with the dvla

you will wanna use all the 1.4 stuff just to be safe, no point in messing about fitting 1.1 manifolds/alternator when you can pick up a whole 1.4 engine for a few quid, also you ALWAYS use the clutch made for the engine so if you have a 1.4 engine and a 1.1 box you use a 1.4 clutch, you can keep the 1.1 box and shafts, but you will need the 1.4 loom and ecu and obviously an ecu made to run a 1.1 isnt going to run a more powerful engine at its best

nice one mate would a 1.1 downpipe fit a 1.4 exhuast manifold and would the rest of the exhaust fit a 1.4 from just using a 1.4 manifold basically and the rest 1.1 or should I get some 1.4 stuff to be safe because aint 1.1 stuff thinner than other engine sizes
