Rorz Icelandic vtr turbo - Few more parts for the finish
Right as some of you may know im building a vts N/A weapon but since im paying insurance/tax and not driving it it seamed abit of a waste of money so along comes this....
53 reg Icelandic blue vtr, cost £350 tax till september mot for another 2 weeks, needs a bloody good clean and some love/style in places and a good drop and ill just use it to potter round in whilst i finish off the vts then the missus has told me she's having it lol, oh and the best bit i got it added to my insurance for £25 one off payment and told that any mod i put on wont alter the insurance so buzzing really.
initial plans for this weekend are,
1 - rip out the interior/carpet and make sure all the floor pan is ok and that theres no leaks anywhere
2 - fit all my spare headunit to itand all my old sound system and tidy up the wiring
3 - give it a induction kit so it doesnt sound like a wet fart
4 - fix the boot lifters as the ones on it are dead
5 - find out whats wrong with the airbag system as the lights on
6 - fix wind deflectors
7 - T-cut badges
8 - order some new bulbs/leds for the lights/interior and plates
then once all thats done sometime next week ill give it a bloody going over inside then out and get it up to scratch and looking good. then once ive got some spare money ill treat it to a 60mm drop and a exhaust system
anyway picture time

That is a bargain! Can clearly see its had a front end smash at some point in its life though. But for £350, who cares!

yea it has had a front end up in the past, damage was passenger wing, bumper, headlight and slam panel but tbh im not to arsed just need to put some rubbers on the bonnet and it should stop the rubbing on the bumper and maybe re aline it slightly,
right anyway yesterday set about ripping the interior out and making sure the floor was ok and that there wasnt any hidden leaks to worry about which there wasnt and the floor looks top condition with no rust anywhere, also wanted to put my old sub back in and hide all the wires properly so a few pics
half out
all out
then found these things under the rear passenger side carpet
dunno what they are but probably using euros not so no good or worth about a pound lol anyway..
wires in after floor had been checked
then back together
next up was to tackle the boot lifters since they were dead, i used my old gti bonnet lifters to replace them as ive misplaced one of my spare boot lifters but they do the same job
before with its wood
after hands free
then on to the badges
and then i put on a old air filter i had nicking round the garage from the vts that no longer needed as its on iTB's
also gave it a quick clean so ill get some pics of how it stands today whilst the weathers good
