Default S2 Rallye. Track influenced. POTENTIALLY DEAD.

Hi everyone, I thought I would make a new thread away from my Saxo one as I will be getting the Saxo back on the road as a daily.

So to start with, I bought the Rallye shell back in October 2011, came with litterally nothing which was perfect for that I wanted. The plus side to it was that it had already been built as a track infused car once before by someone off the Rallye Register. It has welded seat rails, Safety Devices cup cage mounts, Rivnuts all over (save me doing the majority of them), Full engine bay smooth and respray, and overall a decent shell.

The spec I want is quite big, but I will be building it up at a steady pace trying to get it fully complete and mapped before FCS in June.

Spec:

Engine-
- Fully converted TU5JP4 engine
- J4 head springs + retainers
- Newman PH3 cams
- Standard bottom end
- GSXR1000 Sandy/Colin iTb's
- Raceland manifold
- Predator ECU
- Spoox competition engine mounts
- Full internal braided fuel lines

Transmission-
- AX GT gearbox
- Satchshift

Suspension-
- Gaz GHA coilovers
- Polybush front ARB
- Standard rear torsion bars + ARB

Chassis-
- Full internal braided brake lines
- Hydraulic handbreak
- Brembo 4Pot calipers
- Peugeot 406 288mm discs
- Peugeot 406 pads
- OZ Supertourismo wheels
- Rear carbon doorcards

To Do-
- OZ Ultraleggera wheels
- 23mm Torsion bars
- 25mm rear ARB
- Safety Devices full cup cage
- Sparco pro ADV seats
- Safety Devices 4/5 point harnesses
- Polybush/Uprate all bush's
- Carbon track day bundle
- High compression pistons + rods (Maybe in the future)
- 330cc Injectors

As you can see I have an expensive list of parts still to buy but feel I will be able to achieve them in the not so distant future. Now for the main thing.. PICTURES.

Cheers

They're 90mm ATM, I have thought about bigger ones to have the filter placed after the scuttle. We'll see..

They are 90? They look smaller! Fair enough! Was a shameless plug for my 90mm ones I have!

I got a bit more work done today on the Rallye. I've set up the fuel lines ready for the engine to be dropped in over the next two weeks. The whole front suspension has been connected back up and ready to be dropped down onto all four wheels. Here's two pictures I got earlier...

UPDATE of sorts...

Well after collecting a few more bits and pieces over the past 6 weeks I think I have everything I need except seats to get the car running and driving. Over the next three weeks I will be putting everything together so hopefully before March I will be able to start driving again..

Here's a few pic's of what I've been doing etc. I've started to re-do the brakes satin black, also the battery and washer bottle re-location. Battery cable will have a cut off switch for the extra rally interior look. I have also got a roll of grip tape for the footwells.

Thanks for looking..

Cheers mate,

I wanted Corbeau Revolutions or Cobra Evolution, but I think its a lot of money for a set of seats, so I think Im going to settle for a set of the new Sparco ADV Pro 2012 seats.

We will see, I think that with a Safety Devices or Custom Cage will do me well

Cheers mate, I'm hopefully going to get in her and start getting all the little jobs finished and then there's only one thing left to put in, THE ENGINE. So, fingers crossed, if all this snow clears up in the next couple of days, in 2 weeks time I could have a working car

You going to FCS?
