mmm small bumpers! you know my view on this car, it involves banded steels, coilovers and a VR6 lol

Wouldnt bother with the vr6 personally jay. It's a heavy old lump and produces awful power for a 2.8/9. Noise is worth it but abf can be just as powerful ad cheaper to run. Vr's are useless without a charger lol

i was winding him up earlier tom when he bought it for me to have a look at, yep VR6 sounds the bizz but my mk2 just wanted to plow on with all the weight out front. Better off with a 16V for an old school conversion.

Shut your whore mouth, it's worth it for the noise alone!!
What's the 1300 like to drive? I've always guessed they'd be painfully underpowered??

Mine was ok up to 40 lol. That was about it.
Fuel economy however, 600 miles to a tank on a motorway run

Ohhhh god, Tom nailed it. Upto 40 is fine, then you need a couple of days to get to 60mph
Just abit of my VW history. My first VW was identical to this in every way... this is how it looked when it was finished...
No big bumpers this time. Complete shell rebuild with small bumpers this time around..
Also, this car is £600 a year cheaper than the Saxo when it comes to insurance! It's paid for itself.

Anyone know how much (Approx) the council charge to rent a shitty garage? Need somewhere I can work on the car and the ones around the corner look ideal.

It's only about 20 a month but the waiting list is huge and you'll have no power or lights.

Plans are to clean up and smooth the shell. Car will be painted a Chocolate brown with some cream Banded steel wheels.
Looking forward to this as I actually have the money to do it properly. Just waiting for the Saxo to sell and then there'll be a proper spending spree that will include the coilovers and wheels!

Nice one! I've always wondered how a mk2 would look with the Clipper kit and big bumpers. Colour scheme sounds tasty
