Default DAMSK11's Vt kitted 1.1 Saxo

Been on here a little while and decided to make a progress thread about my black 1.1 saxo.

Here it is the day I got it.

Then I put the bonnet from my other saxo with a seized engine on it, not sure if i'll keep it yet

I then painted my interior plastics white

Also put the wheels from the other saxo on and sold the 13" ones that were on it

I also fitted a second light in the boot

Also meshed the grill and painted the chevrons white

Then bought a VT kit and started to fit it on as well as a peco back box.

Future plans are to lower it by 40-50mm, get induction kit, maybe get some new wheels, new steering wheel, Black angel eyes, get it painted and clean up engine bay.

Looks like it needs some work and a damn good clean. I'm really really not a fan of that bonnet, especially on a 1.1.

Grill looks smart though, this looks like it could be a good little car - if you go down the right route with it

Wish you had of kept the fogs, always think they make the car look nice, but nice car anyways. You doing the mirror caps in white or anything? or just keeping them off the car?

Still haven't bothered putting your rear wheels the right way round. Like I said, it's what keeps you on the road. You wouldn't want to waste all of that effort in the blink of an eye for the sake of a 4 minute job.

Safety > cosmetics.

I'll do them one the kit is all on. Doesn't matter as much at the moment as its still not on the road. They'll be done before its on the road.

Little update, Fitted one side of the vt kit today and did some more work on the front bumper, removed the vertical slats on it and put another couple of layers of filler over the fogs. Car is coming along nicely at the moment. Also cleaned up my 3" peco back box which will be fitted when I get the chance.

Fitted my peco backbox today, gives a nice deep sound on idle and pops nicely when you rev the engine. Pretty impressed seeing as it was 10 quid.

VT kit fully fitted now, also sprayed the black plastic trims ready to be colour coded.
Front bumper also in primer ready for paint.

(Ignore the over spray here and there, everything is being painted so doesn't matter)
