Beans black VTR with plans
So here we are, i've gone and bought my 5th saxo! after owning 2x1.1 eastcoasts, a mk1 vtr and a mk2 vtr iv gone and bought another! she is a 03 plate black vtr, its totally bog standard with a lot of history mainly used as a rep car doing motorway mileage, it has covered 100k!!! but you really cant tell, the interior is immaculate and its feels and drives nice and tight with great pull from the engine, i gave 850 for her with 10 months mot and 6 months tax.
here is my first vtr
then my silver vtr which i still currently own and now breaking for parts,
she started off like this, monster stickers horrible shopping list the lot
i then removed all the horrible stickers sorted all the gash wiring and interior out and gave her a good valet
i then went onto buy some vts wheels which i refurbed in gloss black and some fresh numberplates
so they are my old cars, i never did a thread on either of them hense putting a few pics up of them.
so here she is in all her glory, she has a few scratches and a minor dink in the bot but i can live with that for now.
the car is totally standard because i wanted a decent base so i can make it mine, it seems to come with what looks like factory fitted citroen sports extras ie fuel cap which takes the ignition key, gear nob and aluminium pedals, i thought they were boled onto the existing but the pedals are solid aluminium coming off the arms.
so i couldnt keep my hands off moding for long so i fiited my headunit in ( missed listening to my ipod), replaced the standard wipers with flat bladed wipers and most importantly addeda 2" kam racing backbox
the tip could do with a clean up, so thats how she stands for now
thanks for listening to me ramble

Right then its been a short while with no update, but ive been a little bit busy breaking my old saxo etc, but i have a slight amount of progress on the vtr
right so first thing was first, my brakes were about shafted on the black vtr and were sightly warped! luckily before i decided to break my silver saxo i put new discs and pads on the front! she had been standing about a week or two so a slight bit of surface rust is on them as you can see in the pics but that soon wore off!
old discs!
new ish discs, covered about 350 miles!
and pads
then when id finished mucking around with that i put my vts wheels on her! look sooo much better than the standard wheels! just need a refurb as edges have gone silver from putting new tyres on etc
then i put my 6x9 infinity reference in! couldnt cope with standard speakers anymore lol
and then today ive picked up something a little bit special these will be going on in the near future just funding as per usual
these are carbs off a pre-injection yamaha R1 1999 model ive had a manifold quoted for them at 180 pounds plus the vat! so soon they will be sent off for seatign and set up!!
just a little update let me know what you guys think

Right little update for you, with the R1 carb idea on the back burner until I have the right amount of funds I've decided to sort out the way my car looks! I started off by spraying my grill to match the body of my car (gloss black) I'm hoping to achieve the stealth look but I don't want window tint, I feel the car looks much cleaner without it! So I've gone and got my car booked in to be lowered on next Saturday! Pretty excited because I know this transforms the way the car looks! Going for a 50 mm drop with as little revers rake as possible! Also today I will be de wipering the rear and nipping to the scrap yard to pick up a Laguna splitter! Photos will be added ASAP! Hope for some feed back

Here's how my new grill looks! Not entirely happy with the finish so going to get my spare one professionally sprayed and have the chevrons in gun metal grey rather than gloss black
Then a friend got a pic of me when we were on the way to a French car meet in derby
Then I've took a few pics of how it looks at the minute
She is in desperate need of a good clean but there isn't much point in spending too much time cleaning her as I'm working down some country lanes at the minute!
Also she is getting lowered Saturday morning!! And also I will be replacing the drivers side driveshaft as its started to get a bit noisey! So some progress

Sent my spare grill of to be professionally sprayed, I've wrapped my chevrons wit the spare carbon wrap I had knocking about, the finish doesn't look too bad! I'm going o attempts lacquering them, I've heard if you give them a fair few coats it looks alright?

Small update!
Lowered my car today by 45/50mm, such a massive improvement! I do miss what ride comfort my Saxo had though!! The torsion bar was an absolute whore!! Took forever to do but got there in the end! I will give it a good clean tomorrow and take some pics to show you all!
Also I changed the drivers side driveshaft while things were off
