when cold air travels through an enclosed induction kit, how does the cold air improve performance?? me don't get it :S
i know the cool air is good for the engine so it doesn't over heat, however i can't figure out how the performance comes in??
thanks Dumb Jag

colder air is more dense. therefore you get better combustion from it.

Cold air more dense so more oxygen in it and obviously oxygen is what ignites and burns with the petrol

No you get less mpg from warm air as more fuel has to be use for lack of oxygen, me thinks anyway.

oxygen is a fuel. its used in combustion, the more air and petrol you get into a cylinder the better combustion you get = more power.
fuel mpg will be minimal
