ryt i have just bought a 106 gti engine with valves bent in the head...got it cheap so dont slabber at me lol

i was thinking of doing a load of work to it and doing the engine swap with my current vts engine!!

my current vts engine is forced inducted, chipped, skimmed, ported, polished and has 4 branch n system.

so wot could i do to new engine, to make my wee car go better!!!!!??????

so you want to start from scratch? whats you budget>?

ultimately where you want to end up depends on your budget. A works rallye C2 head with some nice cams and standalone would be very nice indeed...

well it will be built as i go along, so a reasonable price, without going too mad i.e turboing, supercharging and t.bs!!

just raw engine work, but most power i can get...and i mean cams and heavy n/a work!!

From your first post, it sounds like you've already had a lot done to your current lump. So is it super charged or Turbo charged?

well is there anything more i can do to my current one then???

mayb cams, ecu remapped and power boost valve??

stop with the powerboost valves.

theyre just an adjustable fuel pressure reguator, you dont need one, they can actually cause more problems if played about with and not set up right.

Where from and how much..?! :p

£1400 .. from us. We get them made to order by Citroen Sport. An essential part in getting the C2 to over 180bhp in rally spec. Not cheap but its done right and works!

£1400?

Bargain. That's cheaper than the R2 manifold (which is FG)

That's almost certainly cheaper than a VTS head.

That price exchange?

Ouch..! :n: Like you said would be worth it if you wanted 180bhp and had throttle bodies but doubt you'd see much gains with just cams...

does the C2 R2 head fit straight on to a vts block?

CampDavid
12th September 2007, 15:12
Yes. You'll need to tap the head though to fit the plastic inlet from the VTS. That said, if you're blowing 1400 on the head then TBs are a pretty good move.

would be a crime not to fit TB's to a head like that.

CampDavid

Well, depending on race regs, I've seen a load of C" Rally cars with stnard inlets, that's the way they restrict power and costs

DIY turbo setup and megasquirt, youc an learn a lot and it'll be relatively cheap. unless it goes BANG when you start it.
