chasis numbers

hey. just wondering where the chasis number is on a 2001 vtr? i have one at the back off the engine just below the windscreen. ma mate says that there should be one at the front of the car. above the radiator.

just makin me wonder about ma car and its history.

I might be totally wrong, but i think the number is stamped into the bulkhead of the car. When you open the bonnet, look at the metal running along the back of the engine bay, below the passenger side windscreen wiper. Just up from the throttle body cover where the air filter is attached.

yeah it will be on the strip on the bk on the engine bay or at the front. Be sumet like a 12 digit num.

I don't have a plate in the engine bay at the front either and the car came from citroen so i wouldn't worry about it.
