VTS Radiator Fans

Hi all,

Was reading a post in the wanted section about VTS fans.

Are there supposed to be 2 fans? My 02 VTS only has the fan on the right hand side as your looking into the engine.

Should I have one on the left too??

I don't think so, because my VTS has only got 1 too. It's a bit odd because it looks like it should have 2. One of life's little mysteries I suppose!

VTS's in some other countries have 2 fans. Ours only has 1. smileys/smiley4.gif

Maybe its because our country is so frickin cold all the time that it only needs 1 fan to keep the engine cool.

the second fan is usually for airconditinoner, but all vts's have air conditioner... so its kind of unknowned

nope no UK car has air con, its only in some countrys outside uk that have 2 fans and aircon, you dont need to fans on teh vts engine, if your 1 fan isnt cooling your car then there is something else wrong.

u would even be loosıng power , because another fan means taking more power away from the engine

as long as the cars moving at speed 30mph+ you dont need a fan as the force of the air hitting the rad cools it down, fans are only there for when your sitting in traffic or doing lots of stop starts ie traffic jams
