ermmm. Well , I had mine done at Powerflow where they can customize the sound you want. But if you jus get an off the shelf jobbie , ie: a magnex one, it wont be overly annoyingly loud, it will be louder than standard though.

Best bet is to try it and see to be honest.
Keep your old cat aswell, for mot purposes.

no it is not a legal requirement to have a cat, it IS a legal requirement to be able to pass an emissions test

i had no cat wen i bought my saxo n had 2 have 1 put on for my mot which cost loadsssss n to have the emissions put right

i've got a full decat system with the centre box taken out aswell n it doesnt sound stupidly loud so you should be ok mate

like SAXOAL has said best thing is to try it and see. what is your reason for removing the cat be the way?is it for better response?because theirs not really much point taking it off otherwise,as scott has said you gain hardly any bhp and your not after noise so really if a little better response is all your after its not worth it in my opinion
