hi in my vtr ill be driving along fine but then every now and then when i put my foot on accelerator it slows down and chugs for a second. its like for that split second no petrol is going through. could it be spark splugs not igniting properly or something else?

My friend had the same problem in his peugeot it was that too much gunk had built up in his petrol tank and it was then being forced through making his engine slug a bit. He bought this liquid for £4 (recommended by a Renault mechanic-his bro) and its absolutely fine... he has his acceleration back now :y:

I'll find out the name of the liquid for you. You need a full tank when you put it in and be warned it'll make your petrol stink like hell!

This is a possbility. I've had a similar problem and put a few shots of Red-Ex in as well as a good £20 of petrol and it did the trick nicely!

Sometimes the bottom of fuel tanks can get full of gunk which eventually works its way through your system!
