hi, i have a bmc cda on my vts, was driving along the other day put my foot down and felt a sudden difference in power and sound, i pulled over and my cold air feed had dissapeared-(found it squashed half a mile away).

just wandering if nyone know of a better place to put a cold air feed other than on the original intake which is where it was.

The car is currently without one and feeling quicker! strange?

any help would be great cheers doug

does sound strange being better without an air feed. the best place to fit it is either on the bumper, fog light or anywhere where it will get direct cold air;)

Exactly what i thought in theory the air filter is designed to work with a direct cold air feed so why would it be better its strange...

i would have thought now it would be getting heat soak but its fine, im gunna experiment with putting it to the side of the rad, and directly downwards so its taking in the updraught of the car if that makes sence.

Hopefully this will work-just thought id mention it as i thought its wierd???? hmm
cheers

mine does it all the time but doesnt get squashed cus its tied hard to the bmc your right in a way i dont notice that much power loss

the only way i can tell is it sounds alot louder

im so confused though as to why mine falling off has helped it?

it probably just seems louder (making it feel faster) but i doubt it has made it worse tbh

in theory theres lots more air that it sucks in but its hot air so very weird

my mate just put the feed down by the radiator but too much hassle the pipe kept ripping

you think its faster because of the noise,
mines silent with a feed and loud without.
Silent ftw.
