hello, today i tried to fit a universal bmc induction kit, eventually i gave up as it was just too big to fit and didnt have all the appropriate connections. does anyone know a SUPER easy induction kit that comes with all the connections so i can pretty much take my old filter out and stick my new one in?cheers

universal means universally fits nothing.
HOWEVER bmcs fit usually quite easily. how was it to big to fit? you run a pipe to it from the tb

there was just no where to fit the air filter without it resting on anything, and it was difficult to fasten it to anything securely.i was hoping there wa s some way to make it fit as it seems a decent kit.

it should come with a metal bracket to mount it

Which pipe was it rubbing against - a pic might help or circle it on mine if you want. You can put a (oil breather) filter onto the rocker cover which you can buy from Halfords, the other pipe which I assume is the crankcase breather running upwards from the back of the engine block, I bought a silicone T hose which goes onto the throttle inlet and has a smaller diameter pipe coming off it (usually used for dump valves) and used an alloy joiner to connect the crankcase breather pipe to the T hose as I was unsure wether you could use a filter as I was told this pipe has to be pressurised. Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else.

That looks mint, any info on where to get the silicone would be great, did u have to adapt it for the oil breather or is there some where selling that section with the breather adapter already in
Cheers

the proper kit for the VTR comes with 2 breather filters and a reducer so it will fit in addition to the standard parts in the universal kit.
posi-saxo pm or email me and I can let you know what other parts you will need to make it fit.
if anyone else wants one I have to get them on the new site lol. Will add that to my list of things to do tonight

I bought it with the siclicone hose included, but I know the guy i bought it off got it from Hose Direct, if they dont help then try LK Performance I have bought some off them and found them to be the cheapest - you should find both through google :y:

alrite mate cheers il have a look now. im considering either the bmc cda or a raceland enclosed induction kit? which would you say is the better of the two? which sounds the best and gives the best performance gain? iv read a lot about the two of them and people seem to rate them both highly. money isnt an option really i can get either of them.

Both kits are good, Im not sure what sound the raceland makes cause I havent heard it but they do make a noise as does the BMC which I have. The Raceland can be tricky to fit as sometimes you have to re-locate the power steering reservoir.
Personal choice for me would be the BMC obviously  depends which one you like the look of I suppose as they both do pretty much the same job to the same standard.
