jeers mate I thought it was 98 bhp I was just told by someone it was the 90 bhp one. It is the silver top engine by the way

yea still 98bhp iirc. the black tops are 90bhp

Depends which engine you have.
3 plug ecu cat in manifold 98bhp
1 plug ecu cat under car 90bhp
Silvertops came in two flavours!!!
X could be either as it was during the transition period.

an easier way to tell than that is...
what pattern have you got on your seats?
lines or shapes?
lines = 90 BHP
shapes = 98 BHP

Yep can be a good way by telling aswell cos the shapes came in on a Y plate im sure
Though i suppose some X plates might have them :y:

yeah thats what i've noticed, in early mark 2's the stripe pattern was on the seats and it was 90 brake, when i've been in them
