What Oil do you lot use?

Basically last time i changed my oil i used 10-40 castrol magnatec but i was wondering wot you guys use as i am giving the beast a service tommorrow.

just go for 5w40 fully synthetic ftw!

I found fully synthetic to be too slippy and thin e.g 0-40, so it got past my piston rings and would wet the plugs. Personal experience though.

Also it can wash away any oil seals that have been "established" by previous oil build ups.

I stick to Semi, but use a quality Castrol or Millers 10w40. I might try a fully 10w40 one day again if I can find one lol.

Why is it you never see Silkolene in the shops any more ?

I no a bloke who worked in the plant there years ago he said that there oil was the best by far. This was mineral oil tho think it was before synthetic stuff really took off so not sure what thats like.
