this is probably in the wrong section so sorry in advance, move it if you want..
my boyfriend has a turbo from a mini cooper s that he wants to put on his furio, so i thought it would be more worthwile me buying him a vts engine for his birthday to do it to. i know i need to get an ecu from the vts, but would he be able to put the vts engine on his furio wiring loom or would he need the vts wiring loom? also what else would i need to get him to do the job?
i've searched other threads and there's alot about converting vtr's but i can't find any on 1.4's. if i've missed them then just link me up please :)
thank you people xx

need wiring loom, engine, gearbox, transponder and ecu. To make it easier, get the same amount of plugs as he has on his. e.g. if his ecu has 3 plugs coming out of it get a 3 plug engine. If it has 1 plug then get a single plug engine.
It just makes it easier to wire ;)
good luck

Wouldn't need them to get it working no. However with any engine upgrade it is advisable to upgrade the brakes soon after as obviously the engine is more powerful and puts larger pressures onto the brakes :)

the mini cooper s' that you are thinking of are the common ones with chrysler engines in that are supercharged, however for the facelift model 07 onwards bmw designed a new engine with peugeot and they are now 1.6 16v turbocharged. so i dont know but im guessing it would fit a saxo just like any other turbo would with the correct brackets.seeing as this new mini is 180bhp or 210bhp with the works kit i rekon that would be an ace tubo to use if it would fit on?!

it was an after market £1500 extra to have a turbo plumbed in as well as the supercharger. i think it was Hamman or schnitzer that came up woth the idea.
never really took off.
bet it sounded good tho
