Make exhaust louder

Hi,
Iv'e recently bought a devil exhaust of darylvtr, im very happy with it.
It makes a nice sound, but how could i make it a little louder ?

as above but have a good think if you really want a loud exhaust, i thought i wanted one but after a few months it got really annoying, just something to think about.

Get a K&N filter shoved in your airbox. That wil make a nice sound in conjunction with your 'zorst.

Ok, thanks for all ya help, i thnk i will leave the devil on, nd just get a k&n filter, the exhaust does make nice sound, jst wondered if it could be a bit louder.

Are you looking for performance over sound or sound over performance??? personally i would save myself that money your gonna spend on the K&N and put it towards a new manifold cams etc etc

As people have said either an induction kit or a de-cat will make it much louder. Its a quiet exhaust, which is 1 of the reasons i bought it. Been there and done that with loud ones and they do your head in after awhile!

Go onto ebay and have a look. Do a search for De-Cat pipe, all that does is instead of the exhaust fumes being filtered through a catalist converter it goes straight through making it louder and slightly quicker. A straight through centre section would be good too. Basicaly you have a silencer box half way down your exhaust and taking it out and replacing it with a straight bit of pipe will make it slightly louder. You can get them cheap off Ebay.

mate my saxo sounds like a cupra and spits like mad tbh after having it for a few weeks a would just leave cat on and get a magnex but if your after sound then go straight through from manifold with twin 4inch tailpipe and a bmc airfilter or something

Strip out all you interior ;)

It actually will work and make your car louder for you without annoying the neighbours ;)

Iv got a magnex exhaust from cat back, mines almost silent! and doesnt spit. Have you still got the cat in and middle silencer?

@darylvtr, yeh all went well thanks ill get some pics up today/2moro, had 2 cut a lil bit out of the bumber, but looks mint.
Im gunna just leave it as is atm, i have no money lol
