this mite seem like a stupid question, but how would i beable to tell if i have cams. because when i bought it the lad said that it does have them (and people say anythin just to sell stuff) and that it has been remapped, but im not 100% sure. its a vts and it does seem a vey fast car, but i want to know if it does or doesnt have cams so i know what modification to do next.
ive been told that the engine sounds lumpy if you have cams, is this true for all cams.
any helpful info will be repped

take the cam over off and have a look, easiest way.

I think the engine can only sound lumpy and idle wrong etc if you cam the car but don't get a re-map done or a proper one at least... Thats why you get the map when you've had cams as far as i know...

every saxo vts has cams:p
if you take the cam covers off then on the end there should be a part number of some sort.
did the previous owner say what brand cams they were?

One things for sure, if you asked the guy you bought it off "does it have cams" and he's said yes he's telling the truth!
Whether it has aftermarket / uprated cams is a different story :)

My brother's VTS runs really lumpy and quite noisy, could this also mean it might have upgraded cams but no remap?

i've just been offered some piper 285 cam's but there are no markings on them so this would sugest that they are only standard cam's?
