106 GTI & SAXO VTS Chips Groupe N + 16 HP 7800 RPM??
Does anyone know if this is any good?
Do you think this is just the limiter removed?
ive sent a question asking what spec of vts this was done on too see what they say!!

Its possibly just the GrpN map on an EPROM. Its not bad, but ideally its meant for mildish cams.
I had the 616100cup Pugsport ECU years ago with cams, and it worked really well.
If youve got the balls, try it, because everyone knocks it but no ones tried it ;)

Be careful as the Saxo changed the ECU over the years and it will only fit in one model and possibly only a few variants of that ECU. Don’t spend to much on it. Saving up for a full map would be preferable but there not cheap. Personally I would avoid it just for the fact its off ebay with no real warrant or backing or support and no comeback if it fucks up. A new ECU and then to get it aliened is not cheap.

Please, don't waste your money. Why would you want the rev limit changed to 7800 rpm?
Now, hide before Ryan comes along and gives you a hiding. lol ;)

this is the advert bellow..
ive asked what it is? and what spec vts it is based on..
im now waiting on a reply..when / if i get one i'll post it.
just wondered what the genaral felling was for this?
fit 1997- 2006 1587cc engine with Magneti Marelli IAW 1AP.41 ECU.
This chips have been mapped on dyno for race use. ignition curve and fuelling has been mapped by professional of engine performance and ECU performance.
This chips from Minibikechips give an increase of approximately +16 BHP and +27 lbs ft of torque.
This chips will fueling less on normal use and low rev, and if you use it a full rev and full charge u will never reconize your standard cars, the fuelling at full charge will be a little bit more than the standard and work very hard !! :-O work with SP95 octane fuel.

OK, I've got a little more time to spend on this now...
Chip tuning with N/A setups is a completely different ball game to turbo applications. Simple chips can give massive gains for turbo applications, as they can up the boost and then up the fuelling to match. Still, they won't be as benificial as a rolling road tune / map.
Obviously there's no boost with N/A setups, so let's take the VTS as an example. How will this chip give you more power? Well, if it's just a plug and play chip like the one you have shown interest in, then it will be very unlikey that it will aid in performance of your car. Even without modifications, there is often room for increasing performance with engine management, but it needs to be exact, and this will not come from an off-the-shelf chip.
You may know this, you may not, but I will mention it nonetheless. When cars come off the factory line, they will not all be identical, it's just not possible. There will always be little differences. The VTS is said to have 120 bhp, so some might have that, some less, some more. With the engine management side of things, let's look at the fuelling. To be on the safe side, the manufacturers have to have the fuelling running slightly rich, to error on the side of caution. This is because running the fuelling too lean, can cause the engine to overheat, and in more drastic situations, you can seriously damage your pistons. However, for optimum performance, you will want to fuelling to be spot on for your engine, but this can only be done with time spent on a rolling road. Can you see now how a chip can't just give you all this stated power?
Reading what you wrote, they have quoted an increase of 27 lb/ft of torque. That's obscene! I'm running 708s with a big valve head, with a re-map on a dyno and I think I've managed to increase my torque by roughly 20 lb/ft. So how will this chip give you that increase? No chance...
