Magnex on a 1998 VTR, straight through pipes, will it fit onto my 2002 VTR.

Also the other way round, so basiclly want to swap them over.

I prefer the way my piper sites and the sound it makes so when I sell the 2002 and i'd rather have the piper on my car.

Let me know, i'll rep or give BJ's for help.

I think that if the exhaust system has no cat in it it should fit onto your 2002 saxo because the cat is i the manifold (im not 100% sure though) maybe someone on here has actual experience with trying it!

Well my mate Alex just told me my piper system is in 2 bits, and the the magnex is in 3 for the cat in the zaust.

So come MOT time i'd need to fit a standard system to get it through, so I guess it wont work swapping the full systems over. I'll have a look at backbox sizes and see about that.

No worrys dude.

Should only be 2 bits if the manifold is in the cat

When i did Leckies it was only 2 bits

Cat is not in the manifold on the 1998, it's in the Zaust.

Were as it's in the manifold on the 2002,

Should have thought about it really lol

leeroy you spanner lol :p

'98 the Cat sits in the exhaust
'02 model Cat sits in the manifold

When a was having a word with my mate Oli yesterday who owns a garage near me its a pretty simple process to swap everything over because as you say bud the zorst is made in pieces so you can swap/fit easily

Fits exhausts to saxo's all the time and see's every little problem you can think of lol

What manifold have you got on etc standard or aftermarket?

Could be as easy as swapping the parts around if your setup is like i think it is...

A 2002 exhaust will decat a 1998 exhaust, but the 98 will fall short on the 02 by the cat pipe section.

so ull need an extra bit of pipe from the 98 system to cover the gap where the cat shud be..
