will be fine and for £80 its a bargin!
Check it over well though. From memory there are steel ones as well that don't last as long as the Stainless ones. Make sure there aren't any dents or holes and if thats okay hand over your wedge

I'll buy it from you for 85? lol
I wouldn't have thought you would need to move your oil filter on a mk2 if the oil filter on a mk1 was in the way.

Well Fingers Crossed! Where is the filter on a mk1? I thought the mk1 filter was out of the way of the manifold altogether?

see in the picture where it comes from the block and goes up and to the left to the oil filter on a mk2, that it iteslf on the block is where it is on a mk1. If thats a good way to describe it like.
But if you think about it logically, it should fit your mk2 if it never fit a mk1.

That kinda makes sense... Lol
Still not 100% though.

More than likely you will need to move the oil filter but i dont know why the oil filter was in the way on a mk1?

Thats exactly what i thought!
Surely if i move the filter it will be in the same place as the mk1 and therefore wont fit!!:panic:

lol, Did the guy definatly have a mk1 or did he mean that he had bought a mk1 manifold? Suppose the only way to find out it to take it off, bt dnt worry you'l get it on, where there is a will theres a way!

Well the guy had a 90bhp mk1. He bought the manifold off ebay and it was advertised as a mk1 fitment, however he tried to fit and it wouldnt fit cus the oil filter was in the way, so he now believes its for a mk2...

In that case you shouldnt have a problem fitting it then! Let me know anyway how you get on with it?

I can understand that it could be designed for a mk2, so it catches on mk1 oil filter, as its in a different position. But i thought most manifolds were the type of if it fits a mk2 it'll fit a mk1 aswell!

Pics are on the 1st page suvvysaxo. What do you think to it??

Think the only way to find out if it defo fits is to fit it. Or you could measure it up and see if it looks as though it would clear the filter or not!
