Depending on the camshafts you get, you'll need to look into engine management. Stock ECU re-map if you are on a tight budget, or standalone ECU and map if you are going to pump more money into the car...

remap and a chip?
search about this.
a remap is alot of money,
my advice would be to install some CatCam 708 cams and get the motor remapped then.

then you are good for approx 150bhp after cams, decat and map.
(if the cams are roughly like 708s?)
......do you want any more performance than that? because after cams it gets costly.

For more power after cams and a map?
throttlebodies?
good examples would be jpsaxo or vtr130.
Supercharger?
speak to boz as he supercharged a VTR once.
Turbo?
Simo? Saxodaffy?

whats the cheapest out the lot?
Karl
10th December 2007, 15:13
when you do either of those 3 things,
you shouldnt opt for the "cheapest" option,
each of them will cost you alot of dollar.
Not only that, running and maintaining them will also be quite expensive.
Perhaps you should cam your car and get a map.
Leave it at that.
Remember that the car with the most bhp isnt the fastest round a track.
Weight Save?
Upgrade brakes?
Dial your suspension set up.
Personally Id like to throttle body my Saxo,
I know though that its alot of cash, so I may just sell up and opt to buy a quicker car to start with ;)

prob just leave it and then buy a faster car for the money i would spend on it!
Karl

Good thinking. ;)
Its not feasible to chuck 3-4k at a 3 grand Saxo imo.
