just been looking around me engine bay i have a mk2 saxo vtr and there is a wire coming off the manifold with a green clip on the end which is not connected to anything can anyone tell me what it is and where it should be connected to thanks

sounds like a lamba sensor. should be plugged in tbh if it is

If the EML is on, then chances are it's not plugged in.

it is the top lamba sensor it connects at the side of the enigine there should be another green connector hanging slack plug it in the engine light should be on when not connected it should go out when you plug it in

lambada sensor needs to be plugged in

it is the top lamba sensor it connects at the side of the enigine there should be another green connector hanging slack plug it in the engine light should be on when not connected it should go out when you plug it in
yeah plug it in, be a red clip in the top which you push down to keep it secure, any reason its not plugged in? engine light should be on, get some photos of this plug and i can help more.

no engine light is on only the ecu light which flashs all the time due to the ecu being unlocked also what is the lamba sensor?? thanks

checks the emissions in teh exhaust system.

found it there was a green clip with a red clip to lock it in place. its just my car started squeking i thought it was a shock or spring but it only started when the car warmed up so ive had the exhaust system off today and couldnt find owt wrong ive put it back on and its stopped:y:
