was chatting to a bloke yesturday and he was saying that some mk2 v.x and y reg saxo vts's were peoduced with 130bhp standard and there have a 3 plug ecu or something. im clueless as to what he was on about so wandering if anyone knows of this?
Suposedly they have more tuning potential also???
if its true how do i check as mines a mk2 v reg

Y reg onwards had the 3 plug ecu.
130 bhp is a myth! All came with 120bhp, but some ran more, some less!

they was all 120bhp just sum people think that theres had 130bhp as it was a newer model

There are come interesting quirks about the X platers which would mean they have more power
For the purpose of this thread, my Y reg was a 130bhp, now loads more. It's for sale

Never seen proof either way tbh.
I've had 2 X plate VTS, the first was much healthier than my current one, its more to do with how its lived its life though :)

baffled me not to botherd just wandered thats all, i cant see how some would be made with more power lol but i suppose all depends on how the car is treated! cheers anyways

been asked tons, and i mean tons.
a big myth.
the two prong head being the reason it started and there being no egr valve, ive never heard of a tuner say a 3 plugger had more potential, if anything usually the opposite.

year theres no need to lock the thread its just peoples diff opinions and me having no idea and trying to learn about it!

these threads usually turn into a spamfest, or a keyboard warrior banging on about his bhp figures.
why i shal be keeping an eye on it.
