Here we go
I bought the car for £1500 of my old mans mate at work, it came with a milltek twin exhaust and had been lowered on a spax kit.
Got the car home and washed it straight away, obvious changes were made, took the rear wiper off, bee sting aerial and removed the rear badges I also tinted the rear lights.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee211/stendog/richescar004.jpg
Then the engine management light cam on and I spent weeks leaving the car at the garage for them to find the problem, eventually after changing many things (for free as none worked) they found out it was a faulty loom.
Next I meshed the grill and put some DTM mirrors i had on.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee211/stendog/meshedgrill001-1.jpg
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee211/stendog/meshedgrill004.jpg
Then I stripped it out completely in the rear. Felt nippy as fuck compared to my old 1.4, then I put my enclosed viper induction kit on, along with 2 sparco 3 point harnesses. I went and bought an isotta steering wheel and then forgot about the boss. got no pics of it stripped out.
Funds went dry after this and the car looked stupid as it was missing the rear seats. I put all the stuff back in the rear and decided it was going to stay this way until I had the money. I was getting fed up of the car staying the same and not being able to listen to music very loudly due to the shitty stock speakers so I made a MDF floor in which I sunk 2 6x9’s. Yes 6x9s as they were free and I didn’t want to spend money on anything else, I wanted to save up and get something good.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee211/stendog/IMG_0774.jpg
Car then went in the garage as the clutch cable snapped on me at the traffic lights which cost me more money. Then went in the garage as the key got stuck in the ignition, so I was unable to turn the car off and remove the key, even when I removed the battery I couldn’t get the key out. The garage said I need a whole new ignition barrel and key. This cost me £240 for 2 new keys, ignition barrel, labour and the key to programme the keys to the ecu.
This king of affected what I had planned to do over xmas as I was skint.
For xmas I got 2 jbl gt4 subs, a jbl gto 1201 amp, wiring kit and then a pre cut tint kit. I meshed the lower grill which I was really happy about. I decided while the bumper was off to smoke the fog lights and indicators but this went badly wrong. The fog lights wouldn’t come apart and the indicators melted. This resulted in more costs for some tinted indicators.
Here is the car as it stands today.

Me personally when doing tints I reckon all is best (obviously you cant do the

i actually kinda like it, in a weird way...
its ghetto! not a fan of the dual exhaust like! get some pro 1*2 wheels on it in gloss black, lower it and it'll be uber stealth!
stendog
8th May 2008, 20:36
nah i like the dual exhaust, different to everyone on here who has a magnex, it sounds awsume aswell. was going to do the vts wheels in white and get it lowered more so it sits flat not hihger at the rear

Predator_R32
19th May 2008, 18:53
orange peel is cause by improper spraying techniques mate, may be because you had the spray can/gun too close to the object your painting yhould spray about 30cm away from it
stendog
19th May 2008, 18:57
yer i though i was holding it too far away at 30cm, will take it off and have a closer look, if all fails wet and dry smooth then start again

rear needs lowering more and you need to take out the VAN tints, and remove rear splitter.. then smart.
stendog
16th June 2008, 17:09
tints will eventually be done professionally front and back still as black as possible on the rear with light up front and splitter is staying as it looks good. does need lowering more as i fully stripped the rear and took out the bootbuild

no the aerial isnt a bmw one (cheeky cunt) its custom made from the old aerial and you cant turn it round as they have two pins that must fit in each hole so can only fit one way. if you look at standard aerial there is a raised bit at the front and then the moveable part of aerial sits in a recess.

More supportive using the lower mounting points where the rear bench was.
You'll feel the difference when you brake as there's less flex in them :)

If those harnesses are 3-points then id mount them properly asap lol.
Cages are a ballache mate!
Only around 400 notes for the weld-in cage etc.
Labour, fabrication, spraying and fitting it properly is where your money goes.
Takes ages to trial-fit, spot-weld base mounts, remove everything and then get it all back in. Proper pain in the ass lol.
Just seen where the bar is and if you roll that might help a little bit but if you land on the roof there's no support really.
Were you gonna weld in more bars all connecting up like a half-cage?

From underneath you can see where it goes when your looking up its just infront of the lower brace mounting points near the bottom of the manifold where it meets the cat/rest of the exhaust. (<-- shit explaination)...

Need to pop the top gear linkage off and put in it place on the lefthand side between the linkage and selector arm, which gives more leaverage to the gears = shorter shift and good times :)
Hard to explain dude but it comes with instructions aswell and there's a guide here for fitting linkages which helps...

right have now received citroen sport door badges, sax-p window stickers are both fitted, gave the rear a 2nd coat of hammerite, have a few little mods coming to give the rear of the car a bit of appeal. keep an eye out for these

tbh looking at ur first pics i thought you where going wrong with it, and it was gonna end
up looking cheap and tacky, then i thought u needed something to brake the black up, and tested both white & black vts wheels on my black saxo n by that, thought white would have worked perfect on yours and the black was to much, but its worked out nice.
look at getting some smaller black towing hooks, couple of rally stickers, the ones with the red arrows on, maybe put the mud flaps back on as they will suit the style more now? Some black angel eyes, cage, finish the interior rear quaters, lower the back, some lightweight alloys and the look would be complete in my opion
