As the title says, what the best way?
Cover electrics and squirt machine cleaner everywhere and rinse down or squirt and rub like funk?

OR

A JETWASH?!?!?!? :D

cover all electrics and sensors with cling-film
spray degreaser everywhere and leave to soak for 5 mins
get a alloy cleaner brush and scrub away
turn engine on and rinse with a fine spray from hose pipe
rev at 2.5k for a bout 5 mins
dry with drying towel
spray trim detailer everywhere

Dont steam clean the engine bay, not with all the electrics.

Elbow grease and plenty of time is needed, and plenty of small clean's every now and again :)

this is how i do it, cover all electrics and and sensors and all with plastic bags, rinse engine first, then spray degreaser on and work it in with a brush, leave for 5 to 10minutes, rinse, dry with a drying towel and put bumper care on the plastics.
