That does look good... any loss of performance from having the exhaust there?
vtrlogan
1st January 2008, 16:57
nop. when i fitted it, my car was totaly standard and its pretty loud. no matter what any one tells me about powerflow i think there alright. ' i and my dad both felt a power increase once fitted'. and im sure webby will agree its a VERY smart exhaust.
im planning on haveing it put into the side skirt soon. but i may change my set up for A supersprint race section and standard backbox.

nice work there mate does look good... i was really thinking about one.. but it would mean a new rear bumper without the exhaust hole there just would be hassle i think lol
vtrlogan
1st January 2008, 17:07
just fill it lol. or just buy a 1.1 bumper with no cut out ;) i have a 1.1 bumper just gotta fit it :) same colour aswel :)

The 1.1 or any other base model bumper isnt as deep as the VT one or as wide so it wont look as sprty or match up with the arches.

NO...For it to look good you will have to fill the recess in a vtr bumper with fiberglass.

nice jacking point.
vtrlogan
1st January 2008, 19:22
cheers for that rhys but if you can look you will be able to see that the jacking point is a bit further down, so the jacking point is fine.
and yes its only on 1 side :( would like it both sides tbh lol.

you can jack the car up just about anywhere along the ridge anyway :)

yes if you really want to fuck the shell up.
have you ever seen the damage done from lifting a saxo not on the jacking points which are specially strengthened for the purpose.
Predator_R32
1st January 2008, 19:50
well obviously i mean near the jacking points no in the middle thats common sense but the two pieces of metal welded together is where you can jack it up
TU-Tuning
1st January 2008, 19:51
nah they bend too. Learnt that accidentaly with the westy
Ryan
1st January 2008, 19:53
the jacking points are the only areas you should be lifting the car from for that job, other jobs may require different places on the shell but then you should still only be using strenghtened parts of the shell.

ive done it a few times with a bit of wood on the jack and its been ok, its only jacked there because i want the stands on the jacking points
