Cam Advice for Vts

Was just wondering if anyone could tell me which cams would produce the best performance in my vts, kent pt 51's or cat cams 708's?? i have got all the usual mods, goof flowing zaust system, good induction kit, port n polished throttle body, also there will b a standard ecu remap done whan then cams r installed!!

Well there's a group buy for Newmans cams on at mo - the PH3's are roughly the same spec as 708's.

The groupbuy price is £225 all in for cams delivered to your door - which is a very good price!!

Yea i know the newmans are on group buy, have been offered a set of 708's and then i saw the pt 51's in the fosale section today!! think i will just stick with my 708's!!

708's and a remap of the standard ECU will be a great choice fella :y:

Il be getting these in the next few months aswell ;)

If you dont want to spend that little bit extra then grab some Newman cams in the groupbuy or do things properly and splash out on the Catcams - I would :)

what worries me about the newmans is that there aren't really any people shouting about how good they are and that have results to back up those claims.

The cat cam 708s seem to give approx 157bhp on every engine that they grace

iv got newmans mate an it ran 157.4 bhp at waynes chipwizzard on the standard ecu not mapped just messed with the timming abit theres a big thread about it do a search

no worries saved me 500 quid of remap an spent 20 mins talking to wayne he said even if he mapped it i wouldnt get much more out of it what he did say was a ported an polished throtle body would give me another 3 bhp witch would take me to 160bhp
