been looking at all these exhaust systems from different companies, getting a new centre section seems pointless if mines already stright through. Need to measure the bore too me thinks

So if i got a mangnex centre section then it would sound like a magnex just a lil bit quieter with a standard back box

thats what i thought.
My exhuast system is well confusing. The cars a 1.4 8v furio, as std they come with the VTR exhuast. When it was bought the car had a 1.1 backbox fitted, and the centre section doesnt have a silencer.
But the VT backbox I put on didnt fit the centre section properly so a new bracket was needed. So i thought it was a 1.1 centre section. But if they have silencers and mine doesnt, what the hell is it :panic:

its probably a custom (poweflow style exhaust) and someone has removed the rear section and sold it before selling it on to you (or dealer)
then a 1.1 box was put on to it as a cheap alternative.
Craig: yes mate.

My old furio didn't have a silencer in the centre section, just a cat and backbox, was standard to.

my exhaust is straight through on my VTR, but then it's also got a pooflow backbox jobbie so may not be standard

Depends really.
My 52 plate VTR had a centre silencer whereas our 02 plate Desire has a straight through centre section.
