hi there im planning on buying a 106GTi but the owner of the 1 i wish to buy has text saying it has a missfire and running on 2 cylinders. he has put it into a garage which have changed the spark plugs and ignition coil (is this the coil pack?) and also reset the ECU (i presume by disconnecting the battery)

What i was wondering is could this be a fueling issue if the plugs and coil pack have been changed, or could it even be injectors?

He is looking for 2200 should i offer him 1800 the way it is? depending on how easy this fault is to fix?

Personally i would leave it until he manages to sort it because it could be a number of problems, people have spent hundreds trying to find the problem to no unvail myself included.

it could quite easily be the map sensor but it couls also be major

i personally wouldnt risk it and id wait for another gem to come around!
but its your money and i dont want to sway the decision
