Hows it goin lads, was just interested to hear what sort of figuers anyone with a cammed 1.4 have gotten when tested on a rolling road?

It was some time ago but think I got 150 odd at 8200rpm. I can try look for it if you like? It had up to 172hp but was to peaky.

Depends what cam you put in..

With a mild cam, 4-2-1, cat back and decent induction with a map you can expect 100 bhp, maybe more..:y:

Personally i'm not interested in power, if my car goes alright then i'm not fussed..

I was gona cam my car but gona save the money and put it into or towards another car, probs a VTS, eventually..

ye on RR and every other car that went on the rollers that day were gettin lower results than they should be, so ye mite be inaccurate but 95% were down, 3 cars been on other rollers that week so i reckon its prob a bit more who knows.

james - yer your rite, its all well having lots of power but id rather my car handle well than be absoulty rapid, as majority of the time you cant always apply full power

93.8bhp mani, induction kit, exhaust, decat piper 270 cam but not remapped and im loosong power after 5k and it should be peaking around 6k so timing needs to be advanced a fair bit when i get a vernier pulley

it should be making easily over 100 if its timed and remapped

Ive had a 106gti all fun etc but got it out of my system now.

Got most of the bits sorted for this beasty 1.4 engine now

1.3 rallye head, inlet, tb, loom, ecu
heatwrapped janspeed 4-2-1
Janspeed Decat exhaust system
uprated injectors 3.0 bar fpr
piper 270 cam and vernier
1360cc bottom end from a quiksilver

Thats it tbh nothing more needed, you never know lads may sell this engine in a few months when I get bored got 2 other nutty engines im thinking of doing

I still have tones off parts from 1.4 race engines. If your after anything just let me know. I have two blocks both with high comp pistons one with forged rods. Also t bodies, baffled sumps, ported heads, exhaust manifolds and so on. O and a few close ratio boxs some lsds as well.

lol, Basically just have tones of engine, gearbox and suspension parts laying around. All race oriented. All going for next to nothing. Any one fancy a full race GMC head for 25% what it cost new? Or a almost new close ratio race box with LSD for less than a LSD would cost you. How about a lug drive AP clutch? Um well you get the drift lol
