I was wondering if anyone on here would know if there is anything i would bear in mind or might have problems with, in regards to the following conversion.

I currently have a 106 1.1MPi running a TU1JP engine. Looking to put something a little more beefy in there, so i recently got my hands on a VTR 100bhp motor.

I have the following

Saxo VTR
ECU - Transponder, Imb Block, and Key
Wiring Loom
Engine
Sensors
Airbox

My plan was to bolt on the 1.1 box until i come by a XSi box or something else.

Could anyone tell me what troubles I might come across when doing this.

Cheers

Are you upgrading the brakes?

This has already been done.

I have the full 106 GTi breaking system on the car already.

was the immob box unplugged while the vtr engine was running? it may save you time to get the ecu unlocked instead of having to mess around with the immobiliser, and pickup ring etc

Yes i have made sure that the imb was correctly removed from the system.

If you have the black box, ecu and keys all from one car, no need for unlocking..
