mt vtr with the following.
4-2-1 mainfold
straight through de-cat system
stripped all bar dash and carpet.
2 buckets instead of the heavy standard seats.
Carbon or ally panels in front doors.
Light weight 15's
throttle bodies ( not sure who with yet)
re-map
Coilovers ( for the handeling in corners so get my track times up. )
what bhp/torque can i expect.
Also aiming to get the power to weight ration as high as poss.

I'd add a cam to make the most of the throttle bodies!
You might need standalone for the bodies as well!

you'll need a decent engine management system for the TB's
i would sort the head along with a cam to make the most of all that
And a good mapper :)

Get a good ported head as well as the VTR heads are quite poor in stock trim. Go to some one good to get it done though and spend the cash to get it done well.
I have a GMC full race ported big valve head, Alphe tbodies, GMC inlet, Alpha managment, Some willd cams and so on all going very cheap.

You can expect it to be quicker but perhaps not as much as you'd have hoped for the money.
It'll probably be around a similar bhp to a vts but have cost more than a vts conversion.

with a really good remap, i think you could be expecting somthing along the lines of 120ish maybe more if your engine parts are good condision to start with

Without changing the head or the cam I think you may struggle to get to 120bhp, but when you do change the cam/head the throttle bodies will count for double the difference as they will start to be complemented by the whole system.
Head can be taken a fair way on the VTR I've discovered, so probably be focusing a lot on that in the RCD VTR Kit when we come to develop it.

A mate of mine had a 158bhp at the fly 8v. That was with a mental cam though, think the head cost him £600 alone. I believe he also used Alpha management and some kind of ITBs. Wouldnt pass MOT emission laws, went well though
