ello every1, i just brought all the service bits for my 1.1 today, jus wonderin what do you use to remove the sump plug as it is square n do you have to use a speacialist tool ??

just buy a set like this mate, probablies get them cheaper if you to a shop like

can get them from halfrauds etc :y: look out for one, on the packet will say fits citroens and think ford aswel. :afro:
£3 or something before i got one i took my bedroom door handle off and used the insert, not the best of fits.

dangerous chance of rounding it off, best getting the correct square insert :y:

your better off using an 8mm square bit becaseu as steve said you can risk rounding it off and you really dont want to do that. iirc the 8mm bit also fits the bolt that hold your manifold to the gear box aswell (thats if you have a bracket)

8mm square bit is what you need, don't risk damaging it using anythin else. only cheap to buy.

i dont get how its going to be so easy to round it of using the way i did mine. mine was tight as fook but didnt round at all
