Hi peeps,
Im looking to get a 4 branch mani for my vts but not really sure where to look. Also i heard that you should get the car tuned once the mani is on to give it full potential otherwise you will actually lose power is this true??

No mate, you should get more out of the manifold than a renap (espically if it's a phase 2 because cat is on front) :y:

Its only 2001+ Vtr that has the cat in the downpipe!

If you look at http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87916
you can see the difference between the different engines!
Vts would have the cat under car!
Did you convert it or buy it ready done?

If they used the original vtr exhaust then you dont have a cat. The later vtrs have the cat on the manifold then a single box and back box iirc.
So it seems you have a cheap decat. Its not doing any harm as the bores are the same size. When MOT time comes you will more than likley fail though.
Get the manifold on first. No point spending £££ on a remap unless you have a nice exhaust and half decent cams that will benifet.
